Making jewelry has always been an interest of mine ever since I was a little kid. I started out making simple friendship bracelets and moved on to more complex patterns. When I got to high school, I knew I wanted to learn more about making jewelry so I took jewelry smithing classes. I had the opportunity to work with silver and a variety of flat and faceted stones to create some great pieces, one ring that I still wear. I was able to learn about soldering the pieces together and how different metals work.
In these classes, I also learned how to work with different types of wire and making wire wrapped jewelry. While I do not have access to a soldering station, I do continue to make jewelry with wire, chains, beads, and similar supplies to sell on my Etsy Shop.
